The Perfect Base for a Big 5 Wildlife Exploration
Kidepo Wilderness Lodge offers simple, comfortable rooms set into the landscape so guests feel part of the wilderness. The lodge has sixteen semi-tented rooms and a few family units, each with a private verandah overlooking the savannah. Rooms include comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms with hot showers and toilets. The main lodge areas include a communal restaurant, a pool, and outdoor seating, ideal for meals, relaxation, bird watching, or taking in the views. Staff are available to help plan safari days and ensure a personal experience.
During March 2026, Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) will be reintroducing rhino into Kidepo Valley National Park
Guests can explore Kidepo Valley National Park on guided game drives in search of lions, elephants, buffalo, and giraffes. Bird watching, scenic hikes, and visits to local Karamojong villages add variety to the stay. The lodge is quieter and more remote than other parks, providing an authentic safari experience. Dry months from December to February and June to September are best for visiting.
